Lieutenant Governor Nancy Dahlstrom today announced that ballot initiative petition 24ESEG has been properly filed, meeting all constitutional and statutory requirements under Alaska law. The initiative seeks to repeal Alaska’s nonpartisan top-four primary election and ranked-choice general election system and restore party primaries and single-choice general elections, along with other election processes and campaign finance rules.
Lt. Governor Submits Alaska Voter Registration List to the U.S. Department of Justice
The Office of the Lieutenant Governor today confirmed that the State of Alaska has provided the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) with a complete list of eligible registered voters in response to the DOJ’s request. The list was securely transmitted to the DOJ on December 23, 2025.
