Lieutenant Governor Mead Treadwell serves as the chair of the Aerospace States Association (ASA). ASA is a non-partisan organization that represents the grassroots of American aerospace. The organization is made up of lieutenant governors and governor-appointed delegates. ASA was formed to promote a state-based perspective in federal aerospace policy, to support educational outreach and to foster economic development opportunities.
Did you know that the aerospace industry is the fifth largest contributor to Alaska’s gross state product ... and provides 47,000 jobs? In addition, 82% of Alaska is not connected to a road system. Aerospace is essential to Alaskans.
